Rosary – A group of MOMS who meet once a month and every week throughout Advent and Lent to pray the rosary together in a member’s home. If you are interested in joining for a Rosary gathering please reach out to Christine Gorman at chgorman@optonline.net.
Children's Liturgy – Held during the 9:30am mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the children gather in a separate location during the readings and homily. Our group teaches a lesson based around that week's readings to those children. We need both teacher and assistant volunteers. You can sign up for one week or several. Lesson plan guidance is provided. Please reach out to Angela Krempel for more information.
Sharing and Learning Together: Small Sharing Group (SALT) – SALT stands for Sharing and Learning Together. It is an opportunity for a small group of women to come together and share and learn together and grow deeper in our faith. We will be running two groups this year. The Fall Group will run for 6 weeks Fridays 9:30AM-11AM 9/29/23-11/03/23 and we will be using the book Walking with Purpose: Seven Priorities that Make Life Work by Lisa Brenninkmeyer. The Winter Group will also run for 6 weeks on Fridays 9:30AM-11AM 01/05/24-02/09/24 and we are looking at discussing Women's Friendship and connecting on a deeper level. Please join us! Email Deirdre Costello at deirdre499@gmail.com for additional information.
Grace Within: Small Sharing Group - A very special small group of MOMS members that meets weekly for six weeks to explore their inner selves and faith.
This year a group will most likely meeting in March 2024 during the daytime in the Parish Center. The day of the week will be selected based on the group members availability. Group building will begin in September with Kick-off and personal connecting to create a group for March. GW book availability will determine the number of ladies we can host.
Baptism Brunch – Celebrated twice over the school year. Our group hosts a brunch for all children and their families baptized at Our Lady of Mount Carmel during the six months prior. This is a special meal honoring the gift of faith each family has chosen for their child. We invite volunteers to help organize, set up, and welcome new and current families to our church. Please reach out to Alexis Kenny if you are interested in helping.
